- The Sims Medieval Announced! Very exciting news for this Sims fan who can't find her Sims 3 disc. Can this be released, like, tomorrow? Please?

- An interesting article looking at the negative sides of Mad Men's treatment of female characters, here. Not sure how much I agree with these points but it's good to see some variety in what's written about Mad Men (ie: an article that is not wholly focused on Christina Hendricks' body).

- Another fantastic political ad from Get Up!, here.

- Hooray! Next year's Moleskines are available now. So keen to unwrap a fresh moley and get started on filling every page with lists and collages. Ugh, obsessed.

- A beautiful (but unsatisfyingly small) selection of fashion illustrations, among other things, by Sophie McKay, here.

- Tom Wants a Job, a really fantastic blog by a journalism graduate looking for a job in the industry. Funny and real, I loved reading through all the posts and I can't wait for my own Katie-Wants-a-Job, not blog but general experiences once I graduate.

- My Culture is Not a Trend, shedding light on cultural appropriation and its negative consequences.

- Selfridges department store is opening a 'Forever' shop, selling only items that have stood the test of time (think Burberry trenches, Hermes scarves, classic books and even Bic lighters!). Such a solid, modern shopping idea, I can't wait to see it. Read more here.

- This blog post about dogs made me cry with laughter for HOURS ON END yesterday. I couldn't even get through the comments because they were making me laugh so much. Just read it. Thank me later.

- A fantastic new food and fashion blog, Pumps and Rye. They have such a considered aesthetic, and some pretty amazing shoe choices.

- Green olive, walnut and pomegranate salad, a salad you could in fact win friends with. Hands down one of the most interesting and delicious things I have ever eaten. I had it with fried haloumi on the side too, also incredibly delicious.

- DIY Miu Miu collar. Pretty amazing.

- An interesting article from the Wall Street Journal which addresses a very interesting and pertinent question, Does the Internet make you smarter?

- My favourite of all favourite Buffy-related internet posts, The colours of BtVS.

- Also Buffy related, new blog The Whedoning tracks a fellow Whedonophile's rewatch of all Joss' shows consecutively. Hating myself for not thinking of this idea sooner!

Only a couple today because I'm trying to be somewhat productive. This week is pretty much going to kill me. I have a shitload of journalism assignments to get on with, plus on Friday I am having a monster day in Sydney. I won tickets through Oyster to a Fashion Week show (Garth Cook) and later that night I'm seeing Tegan and Sara at Luna Park. If I wasn't so frazzled with stress, I'd be peeing myself with excitement.

- A politics article I wrote for uni was published on our Journalism School website. I usually do pretty average on news stories because I'm more of a feature writer, so it's nice to be recognised for not being completely hopeless at hard news.

- What the Fuck Should I Make for Dinner? pretty much speaks for itself/is brilliant.

- Keep up to date with Australian Fashion Week here on Twitter. I love all the twitpics being posted from the shows!

Apologies for the slow-down in posting lately, I've been so busy with work and going crazy with no time to myself. I'm heading overseas this Friday (!!!) which will be such a needed break and lots of fun. I'm taking my computer so hopefully free time will equal more posts! Enjoy these links today and I plan on posting about Paris Fashion Week sometime before Friday (I'm pretty much a month late, how hopeless).

- Love of my life Tori Amos looking incredible in a photoshoot for the first time in years, here.

- 90s Woman, a site I have spent so many hours on reading about (I won't say reliving, I was under the age of ten for the whole of the nineties!) nineties women's issues brought into the present. Among the most popular tags on the site are 'feminism' and 'Lady GaGa' so it pretty much ticks all my boxes.

- One of the best interviews I have ever read, Vice Magazine/Karl Lagerfeld.

- An extensive collection of very confronting advertisements here.

- A fantastic article on the history of technology and its social effects, here.

- Who ever thought you'd be able to deconstruct a toaster? Wow.

- Fashion Notebook; a set of beautiful scrapbook pages on Flickr using pages torn out of fashion magazines. Some of these pages have such amazing colour schemes. Things like this make me wish I had more time for my scrapbook Moleskine.

- Gender bending some of the great thinkers, artists and leaders here. Why not?

- Beautiful iPhone and iPod cases here.

- And what I think is the most important link, Collective Shout. Everyone should take a good look at this site, I think it's a really great initiative battling a increasing problem facing all females. If you're in Australia, you may have already heard about it (Melinda Tankard Reist has been doing a lot of press lately), and I recommend signing up to the site for access to a selection of blogs, videos and outside links on all kinds of relevant material. Also check out Melinda's website here, and another of my favourite female activists/writers, Virginia Haussegger's blog here.

- One of the funniest sites in the vein of FMyLife, Sorry I Missed Your Party etc, Unhappy Hipsters.

- A look at what Monopoly is doing for its 75th birthday, here.

- The Print Society, a place to find a great range of artists' work on display (and for sale too!). Plus the layout is killer.

- A very interesting (though not exactly recent) interview with photographer Juergen Teller on his craft, and the philosophy he holds, here.

- E-waste, a photographic series showing a side of technology that I've frankly never thought about. This series is appealing both intellectually and visually.

- One of the coolest things I have seen in a while, NewsCred allows you to create your very own newspaper online. I haven't tried it out yet but (speaking as a Journalism student) what a fantastic idea!

- A really great article at the Slant Magazine website discussing three cult television shows, their impact, themes, and how well they represented their respective audiences, here.

- I've been completely addicted to Life Hacker lately, scrolling back through countless entries on every topic imaginable. The stubs on this site are unpreachy, straight to the point, and very helpful. It takes a bit of wading through to find topics that concern or interest you, but it's well worthwhile; I've found an ton of useful links on everything from food to Firefox.

- A very cute Diagram of Geek Culture that I think makes a lot of people feel slightly better about the extent of their geekiness. I mean, I feel pretty great about not being a fan of pie charts or space pirates ...
